Saturday morning was just gorgeous, Sassy and I met up with my friend Chantal and her horse Foster for a trail ride in Fairhill, it was so nice to take a break from competition and just get out and enjoy the countryside. We got back to the trailers just in time as it started to rain and then a massive thunderstorm had rolled in by the time we got home. It stormed and rained all through Saturday afternoon, evening and through Sunday, until about 4pm. I don't think we've ever seen so much rain at one time. The dogs "kiddie pool" showed 7.5 inches over two days. The rain continued on and off for the next few days and we finished with about 10 inches by the end of the week. The rain made for a good excuse to catch up on some work indoors, so it was back to the laundry room (aka the four year project) for me and I replaced the old ceiling tiles with new ones. This was a disgusting job as I got rained on by dust, dirt, mouse poop and mouse remains everytime I lowered out one of the old tiles. Never have I wanted a shower more.
