Sadly we lost a large Beech tree on the front lawn and on the side of the house, the Chinese Chestnut tree lifted up at the base and is falling over. Its too far gone to be saved. :( Its going to take us months to clear these trees. We had people stop by the house all week offering to take care of it for us, from professional tree surgeons (who want thousands of dollars) to your average Joe who'd clear it in exchange for the firewood. But we want the firewood for ourselves. So we've decided to just invest in a decent chainsaw and do it ourselves...after all, it's not going anywhere.
