This weekend we went to a seminar by the University of Maryland about rotational grazing and pasture management. It was an all day affair, in the morning were lectures and in the afternoon a practical session out in the pastures taking soil samples, IDing grasses and scoring pasture quality. We got a lot of great feedback and we plan to make use of it next year. We really need to reseed our pastures, because they got damaged by the drought last summer. On the way back we stopped in Ellicott City and went beer tasting at Bare Bones Brewery and The Ellicott Mills brewery. Everywhere we go, we have to taste beer, LOL!
