The weather has just been awesome and unseasonably warm, this week I was riding outside after work in a T.Shirt - it was almost 70 degrees! Justin has been working on the base for the laundry sink, he finally finished "twiddling" the legs and attached them to the rest of the frame. In the spring he'll make the concrete sink to go on top. Monday evening we went to the Bull and Oyster Roast at Mt. Harmon, a charity auction dinner to fund raise for maintenance of the old house, which is run by volunteers and donations.
We had some sad news this week, one of our neighbors, Bea Samaniego passed away after a tragic fall from the hay loft of her barn. Bea had horses and took lessons at Hassler Dressage, we would often see each other there and at competitions and we always talked horses at our neighborhood parties. Susanne Hassler had a get together at her house a couple of days later. Over 20 people gathered for a warm and healing time of prayer and remembrance. We shared stories, we laughed and we cried. A sad loss for the local dressage community. Bea we will miss you!
