This week we received the lamp we purchased on Ebay, its stained glass with a peacock feather design, it should tie in with our peacock wallpaper. Dianne and Mike arrived for Christmas on Dec 23rd and we had a nice dinner at The Granary. We cooked prime rib on Christmas Eve and Justin put on his chef outfit and made us all sous chefs. Christmas Day Mike left to pick up Tyler at the airport after lunch and Dianne, Justin and I went to have appetizers at the Willis'. We usually have "orphan Christmas" with fellow neighbors at Pat and David Willis's house. We had a fun time, but as we were getting ready to head out, I started with a bad stomach ache. I thought it was just because I'd been kneeling by the patio doors and gotten a draft on my back. But it gradually got worse and I thought, perhaps I'm coming down with the flu. But oh no..before too long I was projectile vomiting in the bathroom and realized I'd gotten food poisoning, probably from the two oysters I ate. I felt better after being sick, so I ate Christmas dinner, but shortly thereafter it came back. Urgh - I felt awful. I couldn't even keep down water! It will be a Christmas I will never forget and I won't be eating oysters anytime soon! Before Tyler went back to Boston he helped us clear the large opolar that fell in the back paddock with the hurricane, that's one fully cleared, two to go.
