A vacation - the first real one in 5yrs (going home to England just doesn't count)!! We spent a few days with Mom and Sam to celebrate mom's 60th birthday on the island of Vieques off the east coast of Puerto Rico. Ah...it felt so good to swim in the ocean and it was great fun to do some diving and lots of snorkeling. The weather could have been more cooperative -we hit a rainy week - but the sun was out everyday and we did manage to fit in some beach time before the afternoon showers . We found a great bar to watch world cup soccer and there was lots of great food. The vacation rental was really nice and we rented a 4WD Jeep convertible. One night Justin and I went to the Bio-bay, where you can swim with bio-luminescent dino-flagellates. It was awesome, like swimming in glittery water. There were a lot of wild horses on the island, often wandering down the road. The beaches were amazing, picture perfect and we had them to ourselves..... a great escape!!
