The party weekend is finally here and I think we're actually organized and ready on schedule. The yard looks fabulous and I just hope we can relax and enjoy it for a couple of weeks before we're back out there mowing and weed killing again. The paddocks are all picked clean of poo, the trees and flower beds are all mulched and we even painted the side door. The Amish girls came over and helped to clean house on Friday and Saturday. Sue's daughters Donna Sue and Carol Ann brought lots of chairs and tables over on Saturday, our neighbor, Danny, helped us put up tents that we borrowed from other neighbors and the porta-potty was delivered. The ladies in the garden club Sue belongs to made all the flower arrangements. Sue's family made all the food and it was incredible. We had >100 people attend the party and it was great fun, we got to meet lots of new people and Sue was totally surprised and thrilled to have the party at the old homestead.
