Sept 19/20 - Laying down stone dust

The first phase of the barn construction was completed on Sept 15th (day 16 of construction) with the addition of the cupola and ridge vents. The inspector comes on Tues 22nd and then we will be finishing the interior in the back section of the barn - includes laying concrete and framing in tack room, wash stall etc. We had a load of stone dust delivered and we added it to the stalls, this involved several repetitions of shoveling, raking, rolling, leveling, rolling, shoveling, raking and so on..... It took all weekend but we got all four stalls completed and even put down stone dust in the run in sheds and around the pasture gates. We also picked up a load of 75 bales of hay and put them up in one of the stalls. Saturday evening we went to a Jewish New Year party at one of our neighbors. It was a very busy weekend, we were aching and exhausted Sunday evening.
