We had a bald eagle visit our back yard and I was quick enough to get a photo. We often see two eagles soaring way up high above our house. Many are known to live around the Sassafrass River area and I've seen a pair in a nest when out riding on the trail. We could get an idea of how much he weighed by how far he deflected the branch downwards - impressive! It is great to live in the country so close to nature. Bert the bald eagle joins Peter the possum and Jesus the groundhog!
